facebook fatigue and earthquake watches!
In this podcast, Nora Young talks about her ‘facebook fatigue’, and in light of Facebook’s new advertising model, refers to this post over at PSFK about the delicate balance that any social network–or advertiser–has to strike to make ads work.
Meanwhile, Cathi Bond is very excited about this watch that offers an early warning of potential impending earthquakes (via Gizmag).

down with facebook. thinking of suicide too … however, if you plan to “delete” your account, have a look-see at this:

What a great post that is! You know, the only thing that holds me back from ‘deactivating’ my account is that it is useful for finding guests. I have to say, I think Facebook has played this hand–and the Facebook Beacon ads thing–poorly. I think the field is wide open for a cool social networking site to come in and scoop up tired Facebookers.

Hi Nora,
Since you are thinking of deFace-Booking yourself, (I feel the same way about the “apps”, they drive me crazy), I thought you’d find this interesting. Apparently CNN did a story on them.
